when we arrived we noticed two window hvac units on this cabin. Also be advised that the bed in the main bedroom are too large for the room and difficult to get into due to the narrow space on each side of the bed.Ĭabin HH09 has issues. We were told that prices increased in time and changing the reservation also changed the cabin pricing.Ĭabin HH08 was descent except for the very uncomfortable mattress in the main bedroom. Luckily we caught the error and received a $235 credit. The checkin process was very easy, but we realized the price changed on on cabin (increased) after we added a golf cart several months after the initial reservation. We stayed in cabins HH08 and HH09, and booked both cabins a year out. We chose the newer section of the campground just passed the office. We rented two cabins for the final Halloween weekend 10/27-10/30/22. If you plan on staying here please do me a favor and read all the reviews on this place because it was quite disappointing knowing that many others had a similar experience. That was a week ago and no response not even a rate my visit email. At that point i was asked if I wanted to talk to management about getting a credit for a future visit and I stated if they would like to talk to me about that then they have my phone number and email. When handing in our parking pass and explaining the unpleasant situation I was asked if I seen any park staff handling the situation and my reply was the only people I seen were about 5 guys walking around dressed as cowboys that I believe we're just walking around entertaining the kids. So after a night of no sleep I made easiest decision and pack up as after a night like that I had little faith that it was going to be any better and that's when it became comical. My kids were almost hit a couple times by kids and adults bird boxing ( driving like there blindfolded) in their golf carts and bikes so that made the trip stressful. If you have small children like myself please make sure to pack your eyes in the back of your head as this campground is very dangerous just trying to walk to the camp store. They claim they have a quiet time hours from 11-8 but it doesn't get enforced so that left my wife and I and two children trying to sleep while there was yelling from adults and teenagers and golf carts still cruising around until after 3 am. This place was the loudest campground I have ever visited. This place has great amenities attached to the campground the fresh fruit and produce was a nice surprise along with a very decent camp store that had a lot of stuff that if you were in a bind or forgot something this place had it without you getting raked over the coals with the price everything was fairly priced. Our vacation weekend at frontier town is shall I say left a lot to be desired. We love the location and general layout of this campground but suggest the new owners consider some much needed expansion and improved services. For that level of expense, facilities should be at a level to justify the significant cost. The price charged for camping at Frontier Town is significant. Now, with the expanded campsites, it is reasonable to expect the use of these facilities will be very limited. In past years, the demand on these facilities has been significant. The onsite restaurant, pool, water park, bar have not been expanded at all. A significant number of new sites have been opened for camping but none of the group accommodations have been expanded. However, this year it was terrible!!!! In a time when folks need to have access to the Internet for schooling and work, it was very disappointing to not have consistent access and the speed when we could connect was dreadful.Īnother concern is the recent site expansion. Typically, the Internet has been a little unreliable. Recently, the ownership changed and our last visit was not one of our best. We have been going to Frontier Town twice a summer for a number of years.
